Dr. Judy Pearson is an author, speaker, and Licensed Professional Counselor: a clinical hypnotherapist and certified trainer of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). She owns Motivational Strategies, in Springfield, Virginia, where she specializes in solution-oriented counseling and coaching (see her website: habitmaven.com). In addition to her Books and Magazines, she has written over 200 articles, reviews, book chapters, and training manuals. She holds a Ph.D. in Mental Health Counseling from Catholic University, Washington, D.C. 

She is Executive Director of the National Board of Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists (since 1997). She is a member of the Association of NLP, London, and editorial reviewer for Acuity, the association journal, and a book reviewer for (and contributor to) Rapport, the association magazine. She is an associate trainer with the American Hypnosis Training Academy of Silver Spring, Maryland, teaching NLP to mental health professionals. 

She is a Distinguished Toastmaster in Toastmasters International where she has held numerous leadership positions and earned awards for competitive speaking. She loves to speak to groups about hypnotherapy, NLP, effective communication, personal development, and coping skills.
